Harbor Shores passes to be $3,500-$4,500

BENTON HARBOR — A limited number of 2010 golf passes are now available at The Golf Club at Harbor Shores at introductory prices ranging from $3,500 to $4,500, depending on the type of pass, according to Joen Brambilla, Harbor Shores marketing and sales director.

“The Jack Nicklaus Signature Course had a tremendous response from those who have played it during our preview season just completed,” said Brambilla. “We’re really looking forward to the opening of all 18 holes next summer.”

Harbor Shores wins 2 international development awards

BENTON HARBOR — The International Economic Development Council honored Harbor Shores with two awards this week, the Cornerstone Alliance reported.

The IEDC presented developers with its top award for Public-Private Partnerships and an honorable mention award in the Real Estate Redevelopment and Reuse Program on Tuesday at the IEDC’s annual conference in Reno, Nev. Both awards were in the category for organizations serving areas with populations under 50,000.

Still no word on Harbor Shores lawsuit

BENTON HARBOR — The full 18-hole golf course at Harbor Shores is developing on schedule to open next summer, project officials reported Thursday. All the holes, including the three controversial holes in Benton Harbor’s Jean Klock Park, have been seeded and should be ready by June, project manager Bob McFeeter said.

But still unknown is when U.S. District Court Judge Robert Holmes Bell will issue his decision in a lawsuit concerning whether federal agencies should have allowed the three holes to be built in the park on Lake Michigan.
